Golf Mental Game Tracker
Golf Ticked tracks the two things that actually determine your round: shot commitment and putt commitment, hole by hole, round by round.

The mental game
The score is a lagging indicator of decisions you made hole by hole. By the time you write it down, there's nothing left to change.
Sports psychologists who work with tour professionals consistently find the same thing: better golfers focus on process, not results. When you focus on outcomes during a round, anxiety rises and performance drops. You start steering shots, second-guessing clubs, and leaving putts short.
The antidote is specific: commit fully to every shot before you play it. Decide your target, trust your routine, get out of your own way. On the greens, commit to your line and pace before you stroke it, then trust both completely.
These two habits, shot commitment and putt commitment, are entirely within your control, regardless of how the round is going. Golf Ticked turns them into something you can measure.
"When you focus on outcomes, your anxiety increases leading to a drastic reduction in performance. The only way to get optimal results is to focus on what you are doing, at the time you are doing it."Sports Psychology Research · Peak Sports
"Generally speaking, better golfers are more concerned with the process than anything else, while lesser players are only focused on outcomes."Golf Info Guide · Mental Game Series
"Complete commitment to each shot remains the main goal. Visualisation simply offers one path to achieve that commitment."Tour Professional Coaching Research
How it works
At the end of each hole, two questions. Did you commit to your shots? Did you commit to your putts?
One circle per hole, not one per swing. At the end of each hole, ask honestly: did you commit to your process on the shots that mattered? If yes, tap ✓. If not, flag what pulled you off it: scoreboard in your head, scared of the miss, rushed it, couldn't decide. The shot doesn't need to be perfect. It just needs to be committed.
One circle per hole. Commit to your line and commit to your pace before you stroke it: both decisions made, both trusted. Tap ✓ if you genuinely committed before you pulled the trigger. Tap ✗ if you stood over it still undecided, or changed your mind mid-stroke.
After 18 holes, save your round with your gross score. Golf Ticked calculates your net score, stores your commitment percentage, and over time shows exactly where in the round your process breaks down, and what pulls you off your shots and putts most often, in your own words.
Your commitment, your rules
Most mental game tools prescribe a fixed routine. Golf Ticked doesn't. Your commitment is personal. Only you know whether you truly made one.
For some golfers, commitment means fully visualising the ball flight before stepping in. For others it's a specific swing feel, a tempo thought, or a technical cue they're working on with their coach. Some players commit to the club they've chosen and refuse to second-guess at address.
It doesn't matter what your commitment is as long as it's process-focused, decided before you play, and entirely within your control. What Golf Ticked asks is the harder question: did you actually have one?
The only rule is honesty. A half-hearted tick doesn't count. If you stepped over the ball still thinking about the last hole, that's a cross. The data is only useful if it's true.
What you get back
Share it with your coach. Every saved round gives them a clear picture of where your process holds up under playing conditions, and where it doesn't.
Three live bars update as you go: shot commitment %, putt commitment %, and combined total. You're not watching your scorecard number climb. You're watching your process build. The difference in mindset is significant.
After a few rounds saved, the Analysis tab reveals patterns most golfers never notice. Do you commit well on the front nine but lose it after the turn? Is the scoreboard in your head, or are you steering it, or rushing? Are you applying your lesson work under pressure? Now you'll know.
